Adam and Eve
An evening in two parts
Choreographers: Krisztina Szőllősi and Tamás Darai
What does a person truly desire? The answer is difficult, as after being cast out of a perfect world, one constantly searches for a way back to paradise. The performance Eve and Adam addresses this universal question through the creative movement language and artistic representation of two young choreographers.
Part I: Eve
Choreographer: Krisztina Szőllősi
Dramaturg: Alexandra Csepi
Projection: Dorottya Szonja Koltay
Assistant: Judit Szalai
Dancers: Dancers of the Győr Ballet
In a perfectly designed world, how can we desire anything if everything is optimal and complete? The only way for our world to remain perfect is if we don't let our curiosity-driven desire lead us astray. Can fulfillment occur without the “wrong”? Can we live without this desire?
Part II: Adam
Choreographer: Tamás Darai
Composer: Thomas Walschott
Assistant: Levente Bajári
Dancers: Dancers of the Győr Ballet
In this piece, Adam and Eve search for a way back to the unity of Eden, in today's society, which has become fragmented and separated since the fall. Their separation has created one-sidedness in them, giving rise to mistakes. But the flame of Eden's memory rekindles within them, though changing society seems an almost impossible task. Will they be able to return to where they were whole: to themselves and to each other?
