Due to illness, the Győr album release concert originally scheduled for December 27, 2024, had to be cancelled — but here’s the good news:
The new date is April 30, 2025, and the venue remains the Bridge Club!
Yes, it’s a Wednesday, but don’t worry — May 1st is a public holiday, so you can celebrate the launch of this very special album with song and dance, without the stress of work the next day.
Doors open: 7:00 PM
Szabó Balázs Bandája’s new full-length album, "Keringés" ("Circulation"), features 12 tracks, including musical adaptations of poems by Krisztina Tóth and Krisztián Grecsó. According to Szabó Balázs, this album is bolder in its instrumentation and has a distinct new atmosphere compared to their previous releases.
Special guest contributors include: Mónika Lakatos – award-winning singer from Romengo (recipient of the Kossuth Prize and WOMEX Lifetime Achievement Award)
- Gábor Subicz
- Sándor Ürmös – musician from Budapest Bár
About the new material, singer-songwriter Szabó Balázs said:
“The lyrics explore life’s fundamentals — birth and passing, loneliness and love, our bond with animals and nature. These powerful emotions and visions are what shape the songs. This colorful swirl of themes ultimately inspired the album’s title, Keringés, as both the music and lyrics reflect a constant flow and return. To me, it’s a deeply personal yet universally resonant album.”
